Kids are the most precious gifts in our lives, It's devastating to see them suffer. It's really difficult to give your kid any medication & it gets even more difficult to give them medications that are not designed for them

We can alter the formulation, the strength or the taste of the medication to make it easier to administer to your child.

At PFR our mission is to overcome some of the challenges that may face children & their families, when it comes to administering their medication and Also offering some other options to conditions affecting your child’s well-being.

Some medications are only available in tablet dosage form meant for adult delivery, making it difficult for parents to administer to their children & to adjust the required dose for them.

Hence,Children require treatment tailored to their size and medical needs. This is where a compounding pharmacy enables physicians to provide such customised therapies.

For Example:

• Medications for Reflux Treatment such as: Omeprazole; which is available commercially in a tablet dosage form for adult use, through compounding it can be formulated in a liquid form of the desired strength by prescriber (frequently 2mg/ml or 5mg/ml) making it easier to administer by parents and delivering the required dose accurately. Also adding flavour to it as desired by patient from a wide range of flavours to it & masking the unpleasant taste of the active ingredient allows a more palatable and acceptable for infants. As very young kids (under 6) are the hardest to reason with, and more likely to spit medicine out, so this may be a good approach for them which involves dropping the medicine into your child’s cheeks, or behind the tongue. And it tends to work very well specially with young children since their instinct is to swallow.

• For sleep disorders:Melatonin is a naturally occurring hormone produced by the pineal gland in the brain. Melatonin helps regulate our circadian rhythm (body clock) which regulates our sleep/wake cycles. It plays a critical role in helping us fall asleep and stay asleep throughout the night. Melatonin suspension offers an effective and safe option for kids having sleep disorders. Melatonin decrease the time needed to fall asleep and increase the total sleep time.
